epikur Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 (edited) Using Windows xp service pack2 for both stationary and laptopmp3player 1: usb 1.1 archos jukeboxmp3player 2: usb2 fast - tangent audioThe first one could connect but at some point suddenly windows wouldnt connect to it anymore. At not with my laptop either. So i thought this must be broken. I got a second one, but that one wouldnt connect either for both computers, (doesnt need drivers, just standard usb drivers which comes with win xp). I tried it with a friend and it worked fine (he has winxp servicepack2). My usb memorystick works fine (fat32). So I'm a guessing it must be because my win-xp can't recognize removable fat16 devices. Can this be true and how do I fix this?.I have tried to alter driver letters in disc management to avoid any conflict that might be. But that didnt fix it. (this was the support for the mp3player regarding connecting problem). Edited July 20, 2005 by epikur
epikur Posted July 21, 2005 Author Posted July 21, 2005 I solve it by simply deleting all the usb-drivers from Device Manger and rebooting the computerIf anyone should have same Unknown device/usb won't connect problem
