very strange thing

first thanks for all the info on the board that helped make my disk

my question is this, i have done the unattened set up, ryans pack, a few drivers (but nothing to shout from the roof tops about) and also added WPI, now this is where the question starts, like many other people on the board i have run it through VMware countless many times and dont have a problem, then came the big day for re-installation, went through like a breeze, not a problem until....................

i looked a the disk space used on my c drive, it said that i had used 3gb (^£^£&%$), after all the testing on vmware, the space used was about 1.5 gb.

so thinking that there was something wrong, i did it again and about 4 more times after (it did start to get a bit boring....) but still i end up with 3gb taken up on my c drive.

i have a 60gb drive split into two 30gb partions, both were wiped clean but still come back with 3gb of space taken up after the install, but as i said before, the same XP disk will only take up 1.5gb on VMware.

So i'm feeling a little cheated at the moment, i want to know where my 1.5 gb has gone to, has anybody suffered from this problem before

whoops forgot to mention, no programs where installed from the WPI to take up the extra space, in fact after i noticed what had happened the first time i didn't install anything from the WPI and still get the big 3GB
