unsociable Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 I have a lot of files I want to keep and I'd like to throw them on a cd with XP Can I use a DVD with out having it be a multi boot? Are there tools I need to make a bootable Win XP DVDAnd any guides.I use Nlite with the regular cd's but I'm just getting started with DVD cds
svasutin Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 You can have a single boot dvd. The process is the same as a CD, only you're using a DVD.
Cartoonite Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 There is only one difference between making a single-boot DVD versus making a single-boot CD: almost seven times more space.
Alexis2015 Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 It do not work for me How can I do(I olso use nLite but it do not work at all)Alexis
Cartoonite Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 It do not work for me How can I do(I olso use nLite but it do not work at all)AlexisYou are going to need to be a little more specific. What part of the process isn't working for you? Are you able to getting it working when using a CD instead of a DVD?If you are having trouble with NLite, I suggest you try posting in the NLite section of the forum, people who frequent that forum are more likely to have enountered your issues before and be able to provide solutions. If you think NLite seems to be working correctly, then by all means continue here.
Alexis2015 Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Ok, no problem nowIt's not nLite, it's me ...I burned on a DVD-RW (for tests) but my DVD burner is slave and my DVD "player" is master. So on boot menu I always chose my dvd "player"(because my dvd burner is not in the boot list), but it cannot read DVD-RW, so I alternate them and now it's works !!! Thanks a lot for your helpAlexis
Cartoonite Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 No thanks required. You fixed this one all on your own.
