The folder contains:- Current - the folder for the current hotfixes- Framework - the folder for the .NET Framework installer and its hotfixes- Removed - the folder for outdated hotfixes /will be used in the future releases of SvCompiler/- Switchless - the folder for the switchless SFX installers- SvCompiler.cmd - a batch file that creates Svcpack.inf and prepares the hotfixes for the installation during Windows XP setup. The hotfixes will be installed without the Uninstall option!- SvCompilerU.cmd - a batch file that creates Svcpack.inf and prepares the hotfixes for the installation during Windows XP setup. The hotfixes will be installed with the Uninstall option.- HFI.cmd - a batch file that installs the missing hotfixes on the already installed Windows XP- QCHAIN.EXE - is not needed for the hotfixes released after for Windows XP after SP2.The utility is included just in case See this article for the usage instructions http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296861Usage:SvCompiler.cmd or SvCompilerU.cmdPlace the downloaded hotfixes in the corresponding folders. Do not rename the hotfixes. The file names must look like WindowsXP-KBxxxxxx-x86-ENU.exe (or any other language you want, WindowsXP-KBxxxxxx-x86-RUS.exe for example)If you don't modify the batch files, all neccessary files and folders will be created in the current folder. You'll have to move/copy the resulting Update folder and svcpack.inf to i386, and then delete svcpack.in_ from there. You can point the SvcDir variable in SvCompiler.cmd and SvCompilerU.cmd to the i386 folder of your installation files.Include i386 in the path. E.g.: Set SvcDir=C:\XPCD\i386If you do so, the batch file will do all the work described above for you. That's it. Your Windows installation files is equipped with the hotfixes now. They will be installed 13 minutes prior to the completion of the Windows setup process.HFI.cmdUse SvCompiler.cmd or SvCompilerU.cmd first. If you place HFI.cmd in the root of your installation CD, you'll be able to use the CD for installing the missing hotfixes on the already installed Windows XP.For more informationSvCompiler v1.0 (27 kb) Edited July 15, 2005 by NetWalker
