Remove Domain List on Login Screen

For those of you looking to hide the drop-down list of domains that appears on the logon screen of Windows XP and later machines this is how you do it.

Start the registry editor (regedit.exe).

Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon registry subkey.

From the Edit menu, select New, DWORD value.

Enter a name of NoDomainUI and press Enter.

Double-click the new value and set it to 1. Click OK.

Reboot the machine.

I have also attached a vbscript and a silent IExpress package of the vbscript for deployment.

I searched the site and did not find this so I hope this is not a repost.

hi snooz, wonder if you're still there. I tried you scripts and they worked perfectly. How do I undo these settings though?

sorry to wake you up snooz i found how to do it. Just deleting the nodomainui regkey got me back to normal. Thanks!!

So does this default to been 'on' the domain and not locally logged on to the workstation?
