cbinckly Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Hello, I am running windows server 2k3, and recently had to increase the size of a specific drive for an application. I installed a new physical drive and went to extend the existing partition using the diskpart utility. After successfully extending the partition, the new space allocated does not appear in my computer/explorer. It does, however, appear in disk management as being one logical drive/partition of the correct, extended, size. If anyone has any ideas regarding how I can get explorer to recognize the change, id appreciate it. Starting from scratch and rebuilding both drives is not an option. The total size of the logical drive is now about 400gb. thanks
Aegis Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Are you sure you did extend the partition, and didn't make a new partition or anything. Because I don't quite remember that diskpart had a resizing function on XP.
