Drawing Lines in Word

When I am drawing lines in a word document they suddenly seem to default to 'No Line' (rather than black) so that I can no longer see them.

Does anyone know why this suddenly happens and how I can change the default colour back to black?

I am pasting in screen dumps so I don't know whether that has had an effect?

hey kippers,

draw the line, make it black rather than no line and right click on it.

you will see a "Set Autoshapes Defaults". click on that. that will make all lines drawn black.

if you want it dashed, blue, whatevah, just set the default the same way.
