Recovery Console from "F8"

I thought of this when I saw the other topic regarding installing Recovery Console from RunOnceEx.

I'm wondering if it's possible to install the recovery console, but make it accessible from hitting the F8 key on boot, instead of having a separate entry in the boot.ini file.

Does anyone know if it can be done?
