gotnho Posted June 27, 2005 Author Posted June 27, 2005 i did the same process with my work station just now and it worked just fine. I dont see the problem. Can some one help? thanks.
Zxian Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I'd suggest not replacing the actual NTOSKRNL.EXE file, and using StarDock's BootSkin instead. If anything goes wrong with the BootSkin, you'll still always be able to get into Safe Mode to reapply the default boot screen.
garnet Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 The NTOSKRNL.EXE file missing or corrupt message may also appear when the key files needed for booting are highly fragmented and BIOS isnt able to access them. Its important to defragment regularly for sytem stability and speed. its easy too now with automatic software that will do it in the background without inerrupting other processes.
