System recovery CD not working?

Ok so I have a PowerSpec computer, which came with 2 recovery CD's to reinstall windows and all software so the PC is exactly how it was when i bought it. At one point I formatted my computer without using those CD's and just used a WINxp+sp2 install CD. I decided to format recently, but use the recovery CD's. I insert the CD's and reboot, the screen comes up saying "Loading system recovery press "r" to view recovery options", i press R and it boots right into windowsXP and doesn't give me any options like it used to. Is there some way I can fix this so I can use those CD's again? Thanks for any help.
