theaudiopolice Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Oi all, I have setup Altiris as a deployment server for IBM Xseries 336 and 346 servers. I Created the windows 2000 server standard installation, slipstreamed the IBM serverguide drivers into the installation with Nlite, and everything works ok, up to the point that the actual windows installation begins. In the textmode setup, windows bloats with an error that : "setup was unable to create the following directory on the target drive: c:\$win_nt$.~ls\i386\i386\nldrvSetup cannot continue...blablabla" Although the textmode drivers seem to be copied fine, I think it is very strange that it wants to create a double i386 dir. Does anyone have any idea?
theaudiopolice Posted June 13, 2005 Author Posted June 13, 2005 i think I found out the cause: I had slipstreamed the drivers from the IBM Serverguide CD and last mentioned was also trying to install it's drivers... I guess I've overdone it
