Desperately Need Help

Featured Replies

Hi, I am having trouble figuring out as to how to install the video drivers of my LG T710BH monitor.I do have the appropriate drivers in cd and here are what the instructions say:

1. Click Start -> Setting -> Control Panel

2. Double -click the Display icon.

3. Click the Setting tab, then click Advanced...

4. Select Monitor tab, Click properties->

click Driver Tab -> Click Update Driver Tab

5. Hardware Update Wizard -> Select Install From A List or Specific Location[Advanced]

-> Click Next

6. Select Include this Location in the search -> Click Browse

-> Select the Driver in the CD ROM -> Click Next

7. The Monitor Files are copied to the Hard Drive

8. Click Finish -> Close

At the 4th step, the 'properties' button is disabled. I had this figured out the last time I reformatted my PC, but I can't seem to recollect how I did it the last time. I think its connected to my adapter. Under the adapter tab, the chip type,DAC type etc. is all given to be 'unavailable'. If you could help me figure this out, it would be awesome. Thnx in advance!

Can you open "properties" for your adaptor? sounds like you need to install the drivers for this first. Do it same as monitor... properties, driver, update driver.

I think you need to install the VGA drivers first - then everything should appear as you'd expect.

Motherboard/ VGA Adaptor make/ model etc??
