remove the recycle bin from the desktop?

Is there a way to remove the recycle bin from the desktop? Preferably some way that wouldnt be to difficult to re-add it later.

right click on desktop, arrange icon by, unselect "show desktop icon" ...

the probleme is that all your desktop icon will be hide ...
