XPerties Posted November 5, 2001 Posted November 5, 2001 Ok, for my files to be able to be sent through messenger I need to set my router up to the port the app is triggered on will be able to recieve the return info. Does anyone know this information??? At least I think thats the promblem. I was able to finally set up my ftp server to open up for people to connect. Aaron Posted November 5, 2001 Posted November 5, 2001 While you have Messenger open, open up a command prompt, and type netstat or netstat -aIt should bring up a long list, you'll easily find Messenger in it.on mine, I found this:TCP PC1:2641 msgr-ns56.msgr.hotmail.com:1863 ESTABLISHEDbut it doesn't mean yours is the same, messenger uses different MSN servers.
XPerties Posted November 5, 2001 Author Posted November 5, 2001 TCP PC1:2641 msgr-ns56.msgr.hotmail.com:1863 ESTABLISHED [/quote:d989a59590] Now I did this earlier. Which one would be the outgoing port? 2641 or 1863 for you. So when I look at mine I can tell the difference. And how would I find out what the incoming port is for messenger?-XPerties
