Gibletpie Posted September 2, 2001 Posted September 2, 2001 I HATE Image Preview, and this is the only way I've found to get rid of it.Go to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID{e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}shellexand delete the subkey:MayChangeDefaultMenuReboot. Images will now open in your default viewer by double-clicking. You can still right-click and select PREVIEW if you want to open it in Image Preview. If you want to get rid of the PREVIEW menu option entirely, you can go toHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID{e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}InProcServer32and for the (Default) Value, delete the data so it is empty, "".Reboot. No more "Preview" option on right-click.
Aaron Posted September 2, 2001 Posted September 2, 2001 Kewl! Now I can set ACDSee 3.1 as my default viewer!
Gibletpie Posted September 3, 2001 Author Posted September 3, 2001 Exactly! Now if I could just get CD Architect to see my burner under XP, I'd be happy...
jrichard326 Posted October 7, 2001 Posted October 7, 2001 Why not just change the file association??????
Aaron Posted October 7, 2001 Posted October 7, 2001 Why not just change the file association?????? [/quote:a69066f6e2]That's a pain to do one-by-one, there's so many image format types. This reg fix is done once and is very simple. I could even make a reg file to make the changes on one click.
InTrIgue Posted October 15, 2001 Posted October 15, 2001 This is a good one! that preview was not coolNow I can use my acdsee thank good
