NEED USB modem-model (v1456vqe-r2) driver for Windows XP

Featured Replies

HI,

I face a problem when using& installing the driver for the modem ( model - v1456vqe-r2) in WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION. The windows says the driver is not suitable and compatible for the windows XP and it only suitable for WINDOWS 95/98/ME.

It is true that the modem(include the driver v1456vqe-r2) works FINE in Windows ME and 98 SE.

Now, how can i use it in windows XP? Can u make a new driver which can support WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION?

If not, i cannot connect to the internet because i cannot use the USB modem model v1456vqe-r2.

Please reply me as soon as possible for this problem. If you have any new driver for v1456vqe-r2 which compatible for windows XP please let me know.

Thank you.

The previous driver is Conexant USB CDC Modem Board

Yours sincerely,

No one can make modem drivers except the manufactor. I dont recall you saying the name of the modem. The only thing you can do is check the manufactor website to look for an update driver for it to work in XP. Also if its a combo pack like something that was included in a compaq you might want to check there site to. Always look under support when trying to find up to date drivers on there website. If all else fails try and see if the generic driver that XP supplies will work it. If that fails go buy a new one.....You have no choice . XP will only run on certain hardware. Before you installed it you should have ran the compatability check.
