BartPE annd RIS

Featured Replies

I am using Bartpe 3.1.3 with a Win2003 RIS server. When I create the BartPE disk with all my network drivers integrated, everything works great. Once I copy the image up to the RIS server and load it from the client, none of the network adapters can be detected. I added the OEMPnPDriversPath and created a folder structure under the \RemoteInstall\$oem$\$1\Drivers\LAN and added my drivers, but still no go. Any ideas?

Saw something on another forum about PE locking the network card for its own use when booted from Ris, one way around it is to install 2 nics in the pc and have both connected to the network, it will still lock the one used to boot from ris but it will configure the other one for use on the network for shares etc.

I've got this problem too. It did used to work ok a long time ago. You could have the X: drive and the normal network card drivers running at the same time. Something in BartPE has changed and broken this.
