Jackass57 Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Is there a way to slipstream Firefox into an XP Pro installation disk, and then have it replace IE? That would add quite a lot of extra security... No more IE, no more hassles of having to BLOCK it either!
tarquel Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Although I believe this is possible, it may cause more problems that it would cure (if indeed it would cure any hehe).Alot of programs use the IE engine to do things - even though it may not seem obvious. Of course, without the IE core there, they wont work and you'll end up with more problems than having it there but not using it.Search the forum for Firefox Unattended installs - check out the "Unattended" & "Application Switches" boards on the forum and also take a look at the Unattended link at the top left thats on every page.Best Regards and welcome to MSFN,N.
