hey_skokie Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I've been trying to set up the media extender for the xbox for the past couple of days and I just can't get it. Have tried everything that I can think of. Hopefully somebody has some ideas.Wired network through D-Link DI524 (approved). Firewalls are all configured--I have tried it tons of times with everything off and still can't get it.Xbox live works great so I don't know why the extender won't work. Have tried uninstalling-reinstalling, powering down etc, etc. Dureing the setup I have to skip the settings or I get an error message and when it says it's connecting is gets to 'setting up user account' and then errors out saying that it can't make a conection with the extender.I did try to setup a network with my old computer--made a "home" network through the network setup wizard. I can't figure out how to get rid of that to try it without that-but other than that I have no idea what it could be. PLEASE HELP!!!!
