algorithm0 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 So I have a big problem. A folder containing 11 months of work managed to disappear from my 120 gig external Western Digital drive. Several other files outside that folder are also gone too. The majority of the files on the disk are still intact and otherwise the drive appears to work fine. I ran a "search" using R-Studio and the missing files / folders do not show up anywhere. I need advice or help from anyone with knowledge of data recovery. What system tools can I use to attempt to recover the files?ANY advice is appreciated.
brian873 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 not sure for an external drive, try moving the disk to your PC and use TESTDISK or SPINRITE both are good recovery tools. A little knowledge of disk structure is needed though.hail hail
