Now

WS_2003_DOMAIN_CONTROLLER - Is my WS2003 server as a domain controller

WIN_XP_PRO_CLIENT - Is my main client

WIN_XP_PRO_CLIENT_TWO - WAS my Virtual Server Machine

anyone got a quick way of resolving this? Other than reformatting?

Thanks people.

You deleted a DC that was part of your original machine. So use ADSIEDIT to delete the entries for it (youll find links how to use it at Technet/ KB). Then delete the machine entries from Active Directory Sites and Services
