Blue Screen of Death please help!

Ok i keep getting the blue screen of death Wean I install Windows XP With SP1

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screens appears again follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware and software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufactorer for any windows updates you may need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disbable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

so i dont really know whats going on.

Can you describe when you recieve the BSOD during Setup?

Can you still boot to XP? If so try updating chipset and video drivers then try again. I'm not saying it will work or this is the problem but it has worked for me on occation!

think u r using UDMA HD Controller and u r using the 40 wire instead of 80 wire.

Replace the 40-wire cable with an 80-wire UDMA cable.

In the BIOS settings for your computer, load the 'Fail-Safe' default settings, and then reactivate the most frequently used options such as USB Support
