romeotheriault Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I have a windows xp sp2 unattended install. Really winnt.sif. It has windows updates turned on [Data] AutomaticUpdates=1in the Data Section. But everytime I install the os it asks me if I want to turn automatic updates on. It also asks to register the os and shows the welcome screen. The rest of the install goes fine. It's just at the end that I have to manually go through those last few screens. I have the welcome sreen turned to off in the unattend also. Is there some way of answering these screens in the unattend. Thanks
romeotheriault Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 "If you set AutomaticUpdates in the [Data]section of the Unattend.txt file equal to 1 or Yes, the Help Protect Your PC page does not display. Windows routinely verifies the latest important updates and installs them automatically to the end user's computer. "This comes directly from the Microsoft Windows Corporate Deployment Tools Userguide. So 1 should work as well as "Yes".
romeotheriault Posted April 13, 2005 Author Posted April 13, 2005 Figured it out myself. I needed to add UnattendSwitch = Yesto the [unattended] section.
