Group Policy unregisters aspnet_isapi.dll

Having a problem where when the group polices are applied to my 2003 server with N2H2 running on it, the N2H2 reporting feature will then give an Internal Error message. Nnothing else running on this server.

We have found that if we re-register the aspnet_isapi.dll if fixes the problem.

Then, if we wait, or force the group policys (using gpupdate /force), we get the error again.

Odd thing is we don't use or modify group policies here for anytihng.

Wondering if anyone has an idea of how I can find out what policy might be causing this problem?

Or if anyone has heard of anything like this before?

Hi Steve,

I'm afraid I've no solution for you here... i'm hoping you have found one though as I am experiencing the exact same thing, albeit not with N2H2 but Altiris.

We re-register aspnet_isapi.dll and all works okay, but when the GP is re-applied the problem returns.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
