I see there are reg tweaks, hacked sfc files and also support for disabling SFC in nlite. Is this a good or bad thing to disable?

My last go with nlite I choose (well.. nlite did) to disable SFC. From time to time I get a windows poping up for me to insert WinXP SP2 CD to fix a windows file.. Why is it a good thing to disable it (as I would think the author of nlite thinks since he enables it by default)?
