kakarato Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Recently i face some funny problem . My Computer boot up become very slow. So i try to run BootVis. After that it show me that my Disk Write Cache is Disable. I've try to enable the Write Disk Cacne in My Computer-> Properties->Hardware->Device Manager->Disk Drive-> MaxtorXXX->Properties->Policies.The problem is the Write Cache setting is totally grey out, and the Write Cache Option (the small check box is gone, I check another PC got this small check box). I decide to manually modify the registry to enable the Write Cache But It Still not working. Now my computer boot up need almost 4 minute to complete. Please help....Below is the registry i try to modify:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE\DiskMaxtor_6Y080L0__________________________YAR41BW0\32594a3256394554202020202020202020202020\Device Parameters\Disk]"UserWriteCacheSetting"=dword:00000001I also had try run Chkdsk, Virus Scan, and Spyware Scan in my computer but both of them report nothing go wrong.
