Guest DianeDianeDiane Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Hi everyoneDoes anyone know if it is possible to convince Outlook 2003 that I want to type contacts' first names first?I've just moved up from an earlier Outlook in which I could type the first name first, and I'm finding it difficult to change my habit!!Any help most appreciated.CheersDiane
un4given1 Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Welcome! Can you provide just a little more information. Are you speaking of when you are typing an email address and it auto completes? Or are you speaking of when you are searching through the address book?
Guest DianeDianeDiane Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Thanks un4givenI'm typing the name in the address section on the message (not in the "Global Address" box) and the older version of outlook would guess it for me whether I wrote Mary first or her surname first, but the new outlook won't guess it for me unless I type Mary's surname first in the address area.I'm finding this very frustrating. It didn't happen last week, but is now happening. Everyone in my area says it's impossible to fix, so I thought I'd try a forum. Many thanksDiane

If I commence with the addressee's first name OUTLOOK 2003 won't even attempt to complete the addressee's name.Any advice as to whether or not it is possible for OUTLOOK to autocomplete when I type the first name first would be most appreciated.Diane
