Multiple Usb Printers With A Reconnected Laptop

I use XP Pro on my laptop with no docking station (they don't make one for the Dell Inspiron 5100). When I return from the road, I simply reconnect my USB 2.0 hub to the Dell.

Problem is that instead of recognizing my Laser Printer, Windows creates a new one. The old one is still the default (but it sees that as offline).

Anyone run into this or have any suggestions?

Connect your printer directly to your laptop using the same port, then use your hub for other components.
