jdibella Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 I hope I posted this in the right location.I am having a problem with Outlook 2003 at my job. We connect to our organization's exchange server to retrieve e-mails. Since i've upgraded to Outlook 2003, I do not receive e-mails as they arrive but rather when I change to a different folder.I.E. Outlook is open and i'm currently in my inbox. Someone sends me an e-mail and I will not receive it until I change to another folder. With Outlook 2002 I was able to receive e-mails instantly as they arrived through the Exchange server. Any ideas?
firefoxthebomb Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 That is probably because you have Use Cached Exchange Mode enabled. To disable this do this:1. Go to Tools and and click on E-mail Accounts.2. Click on View or change existing e-mail accounts, and click Next3. Highlight Microsoft Exchange Server and click on Change4. On the next screen uncheck Use Cached Exchange Mode and click Next5. Click on finish.6. Close outlook and then reopen it, you should now see your emails.
