Repartition On Unattended Cd

Featured Replies

hey

Can anyone help

I can´t get Repartition to work on my unattended CD,

Windows XP sp2

I pace it under [unattended] as this

[unattended]

Repartition = Yes

  • Author
Winnt.sif

----------

[Data]

    AutoPartition=0

[unattended]

    Repartition=Yes

This doesn´t seam to work, it stops at the blue screen and promts me to choose witch partiotion I want to install winXP sp2 on.

Change the autopartition=1

This is what I use and works fine. press any key to boot to cd then sit back

[Data]

AutoPartition=1

MsDosInitiated="0"

UnattendedInstall="Yes"

[unattended]

UnattendMode=FullUnattended

OemSkipEula=Yes

OemPreinstall=Yes

TargetPath=\WINDOWS

FileSystem=*

UnattendSwitch="yes"

WaitForReboot="No"

DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore

OemPnPDriversPath=""

KeyboardLayout="United Kingdom"

Repartition=Yes

winnt.sif = should be used for RIS (not unattend CD)

unattend.txt = should be used for U.A CD

please check the deploy.chm that comes with the deployment tools for WinXP SP2, it will tell u that repartition is only valid for RIS installations I think...

Keep truckin...

@Br4tt3

Although the answer file for Setup is commonly called Unattend.txt, for a network preinstallation you can name the file anything you like. For a CD-based Setup, you must name the answer file Winnt.sif.

@JanDahl
