When my users log on - (everytime) their personal folders showup at the top just above the ACCESSORIES folder - it shows their destop items/ my documents etc but id prefer them not to see this. I used GPO to set up a redirection for startup, application data, etc etc if anyone needs to know - anyway i can stop them seeing this folder at the top of the accessories folder?

Cheers

My guess would be to remove the redirection on the Start Menu to see if this does anything different - may not but just a guess

Post here the Profile Path, The My Documents Path and the Start Menu Path.

Are the two aforementioned paths subdirectories of the Start Menu Path?

Not too sure what you mean by profile path but i have \\ServerName\User\Profiles$ (sorry i listed differently earlier) as the redirection path for ALL the folders (application data, my documents, start menu, desktop) - removed the redirection for the start menu and caused tthe same problem

hope that helps

Thanks Spyder2k ill try that out - just curious whats the difference between using the folders that i was (start menu, my documents etc ) compared to Roaming profiles - i thought the folder redirection was the same as roaming profiles

'Roaming Profiles' redirects the entire profile directory, i.e. everything related to the profile including start menu, desktop, my documents etc is redirected.
