after reading the article Using Hostname instead of IP address

I tried on the host computer it work, but when I try to access the host from other computer on my network I still need to input IP address. I am using WinXP. I hope to make my other computer recognize the hostname without input IP address or thru internet.

You need a local dns server. Like the one inclued in windows 2003.
