how to do unattended upgrade of win2k?

Featured Replies

so i got a few problems doing an unattended ugrade of windows 2000 pro.

all i want is for it to upgrade the system using the cd, and the answer files on either the users desktop or a floppy disk.

below is the winnt.sif file.

two issues i'm having is;

It doesn't autopartition. and actually it shouldn't "partition" or format, it should just detect win2k, and install winxp. cus i dont wanna lose data or program settings.

second problem i have is with the WINNT and Windows folders.

win2k uses WINNT as the default, winxp uses Windows as the default.

is it possible to change WINNT to Windows and have only that as the main OS directory?

below is the winnt.sif file i've created. from what i can tell it installed winxp into WINNT but deleted all user accounts, program settings, etc
