Check in the control panel under Sounds and Audio Devices and double click it.

Go to the Sounds tab and find the Windows Logon. If there is a sound there, play it to see if this is the sound you hear, if it is you can change it to something else or to NONE.

Hope this helps.

Sorry i may have not made myself clear. When i log in i hear the MS login music then i have to wait 15-20 seconds before i see the desktop or any other items. Before i joined onto my domain it was instantaneous (i.e. logon music - desktop) but now i want to get rid of the 15-20 seconds delay.

Thanks

In that case it has to do with DNS, make sure that your domain has a computer account for that comptuer, make sure it got created when you joined the domain. Is the computer doing your dns the same one doing your dhcp. If it is not, make sure you have a records on your dhcp server reflecting that computer.

Hey, this sounds familiar, but I don't have a fix !

I had my account "administrator" running fine, I created another profile for my wife (bescause she kept deleing shortcuts etc) but when she logged on as limited or admin user the pc access speed, internet access etc was like Steve Austin in slow motion....

Is there a registry fix

Or something wrong with the profiles

Its something else to think about.

So what did I do to resolve after 2 months, :w00t: I built a new Rig :thumbup
