access to share

I have an issue where I need to get information on specific users in my domain.

NT 4.0 with lots of 2k file servers.

I need to enumerate a list of access rights to shares.

Not by group membership. I need to see if that person has access to a share by his\her account.

I have tried several different resource kit tools but most of them just give me group membership.

If more info is needed please let me know... and thanks ahead of time.

What are you still doing with NT??? Put it to rest and move to a newer platform with better tools... With the time your wasting on keeping NT alive you could have been migrating onward and been saving dollars...

Ne'r the less, you should be able to view the access permissions to the share visually via the security properties of that folder... unless you have some really wierd system for allowing access to shares... Ussually group membership is how its done, but how exactly do you have the permissions mitigated to users, via groups, or do you manually add them to the share? there are different ways for both, and they both require at least basic vb skills, perferably c++... do a search for user enumeration on shares or something on google, you'll most likely pull up something...
