Akingsbury Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 There was an Error starting Setup ("C:\I386\winnt32.exe" /syspart:C:\/noreboot /unattend:C:\sysprep\unattend.txt).I have had one problem after another trying to do an unattended installation of Windows XP Home SP2 across network using WinPE. It copies the files fine but stops at with the message above. After pressing OK it reboots and will not boot from HD. It does this after spending ages "Installing the configuration set".I check the I386 directory (remove floppy and click cancel twice) and there is no winnt32.exe file.... is there something I'm doing wrong?Anyone had this problem before and how is it fixed? Please help ASAP I really need to get this done today! Thanks in advanceAlex
Akingsbury Posted January 22, 2005 Author Posted January 22, 2005 Was I being stupid? Had I read one FAQ too few? No.The answer if any of you have the same problem...... is plain old bad luck. When I used setup manager, some how... no idea how.... some files were not copied to my network location!I removed and re-added the product and now it's fine. It has taken me 5 hours to work that out but ah well! Thanks to all who had a think about it - hope this info helps someone else.CheersAlex Kingsbury
