whoisne1 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I've tried searching for the answer to this but got back dozens and dozens of results.Anyways, I have created an unattended disk, and whenever I try to run Daemon Tools it tells me "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation".I have tried Google and some topics but no joy.I have done this before, but something is happening now to stop me being able to run Daemon Tools, and no doubt other utilities. The main thing seems to right click on the file and select Security (I think it was) but I don't get that option, or to look at gpedit.msc, but I'm lost in there.I do a fresh formatted install of this, so I am the first and only user, so should be adming, User Profiles tell me I have administrator access.I have a valid XP Pro, and here's my .sif file. Any ideas?:[Data]AutoPartition=0MsDosInitiated="0"UnattendedInstall="Yes"[unattended]UnattendMode=FullUnattendedOemSkipEula=YesOemPreinstall=YesTargetPath=\WINDOWSFileSystem=*UnattendSwitch="yes"WaitForReboot="No"DriverSigningPolicy=IgnoreKeyboardLayout="United Kingdom"[GuiUnattended]AdminPassword=*EncryptedAdminPassword=NoOEMSkipRegional=1TimeZone=85OemSkipWelcome=1[userData]ProductKey=xxxFullName="xxx"OrgName="Home"ComputerName=COMPUTER1[Display]BitsPerPel=32Xresolution=1024YResolution=768Vrefresh=85[TapiLocation]CountryCode=44Dialing=ToneAreaCode=01422[RegionalSettings]LanguageGroup=1Language=00000809[identification]JoinWorkgroup=MSHOME[Networking]InstallDefaultComponents=Yes[branding]BrandIEUsingUnattended=Yes[iEPopupBlocker] BlockPopups=NoFilterLevel=LowShowInformationBar=Yes[WindowsFirewall]Profiles = WindowsFirewall.TurnOffFirewall[WindowsFirewall.TurnOffFirewall]Mode = 0[Components]msmsgs=offmsnexplr=off freecell=offhearts=offminesweeper=offpinball=offsolitaire=offspider=offzonegames=off[shell]DefaultStartPanelOff = YesDefaultThemesOff = Yes[GuiRunOnce]%systemdrive%\install\start.cmdI presume it's something to do with this file as I think this is really the only thing I would have amended since last time, and the contents of start.cmd for more up to date utilities.
whoisne1 Posted January 24, 2005 Author Posted January 24, 2005 Well, I tried an unattended install with only a modification of winnt.sif, and not calling the start.cmd batch file to execute all the programs, and it worked successfully. The problem only appears to be when the software is installed. It installs fine, reboots, then I'm unable to run DaemonTools, for eg.Any ideas?
