mouse lags on w2k3

i am using w2k3 std and evey time i use google or open multiple tasks.. my mouse lags and is not so reponsive as before.

i need some urgent help cause it is really sucks when u are palying games.. espically halo

but i like 2k3 for its stability and it is the only os that allows me to use USB 2.0.. i don know why other os don allow me to use USB 2.0.. besides i think it is much better that xp and 2k

i have tried using XP and am ont happy with it.. sometimes.. the search button becomes another restart button and sometime it just lags like hell and i don want to keep on formatting it jus because it is a problematic OS.. 2k3 never gave me that problems

Well there are 3 things to do :

1) Increase the USB polling interval to 250hz instead of 125hz, there is an article on <<spam>> : http://www.<<spam>>.net/forum/...hp/t233517.html

One remark : they switched the 500hz hex code for the 250hz hex code, so if u want 250hz, change the line to the one that says 500hz in the article

2) Disable enhance pointer precision in windows, this will disable the acceleration in windows , but not in games (see 3)

3) Disable mouse acceleration in games by changing the next registry entries
