Spinman Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 I had to download an inf from the web for my monitor. After unpacking the zip file - I am left with 3 files - 1) security catalog 2) setup information 3) icc profile I updated the drivers via the hardware device manager by clicking on update drivers and then browsing the folder containing the 3 files and selecting the only item displayed - the setup information file. This installed the monitor. However, I was wondering, rather than having to browse to the folder and point to the file - could I transfer the setup infomation file to my system directory so that it would be recognized automatically?Would I only need to copy the one file *.inf (security) and not the other two? What directory would I transfer the file to? C:\WindowsI did a search for *.inf - but did not come up with any on my c:\ drive
