With IE, if you want to go to http://www.msfn.com, you just have to hit "msfn" and Crtl+[ENTER].

It automaticaly add "http://www" and ".com".

I'd like to had a reg tweak to replace the ".com" by ".fr" (or something else)

I haven't found anything.

I can't remember where it is, but this is held in the registry and also has the same effect for

.edu, .org & a few others.

I dea beinng it cycles through until finds right place.

In NT4 (currently at work), go here =>

HKLM\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main\urltemplate

I'm guessing roughly same location in XP & 2k

Just create your required key and place in order

if you put a "msfn" without any gtld and then press [enter], then IE will try every entry in HKLM\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main\urltemplate.

if you put a "msfn" without any gtld and then press Crtl+[enter], IE will go to "http://www.msfn.com". That's what I'd like to change.

so if you go to the key we mention, replace .com with .fr, does that do it?

If i type msfn and hit enter i find IE tries to open msnsearch and not cycle through the urltemplate list ubtil i do ctrl+enter
