Windows XP 64 Bit ? Help me

Hi ,

I have AMD 64 bit but i haven't installed XP64 bit . Some one has told it has some problems like u cant update to media player 10 ,and some apps and games are not working ?? .is it so ?

Please tell me .how is it ?

well i believe that any software or hardware you install has to be coded to specifically work in a 64 bit environment. so i would count out all games. and a lot of software. i don't remember if xp 64 was supposed to emulate 32 bit or not. if it does, im sure it's half a** like 16 bit was in xp.

I've run 64bit XP, not much to see, not much to run in 64bit mode. It's my understanding that just anything runs in 32bit emulation, although no as well...

Remember to have 64bit NIC drivers already local or you won't be able to get a connection for any patches or installs after loading, i guess you could you a CD writer or perhaps? a USB drive , but maybe not.....
