Slipstream Media Center?

Is there a way to Slipstream or install Media Center if I have a legit Corp copy of Windows XP? I've been looking, but haven't found any information regarding this.

i heard of a way once, not sure if it was legit, but i heard it was unstable. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I think it was done with MCE2004, I believe 2005 would be much harder to do since there is more to it than just one cab file.

Can I ask why you'd want to anyway?

Because I want to install Media Center and I don't: want to pay for a MSDN subscription, nor do I want to buy a computer with it installed. I already have all the hardware needed for a Media Center PC.

But, that requires money. I already have Windows XP. I don't wanna shell out 100+ dollars when I already have XP and the Media Center cab files...

Wow I havent seen this method. I originally saw someone else get it for xp pro, but that had alot of issues, I will have to try this out sometime.

I have yet to actualy try this method but the next time my PC decides to blow up i will. I am currently running MCE 2005 with no problems but im going to have to put XP or 2k3 on here eventualy as i actualy need access to active directory the one feature they had to remove from MCE 2005 to make it cheep :(
