k22 Posted October 22, 2001 Posted October 22, 2001 I know that windows update works for a majority of users, an it worked fine for me on my first install of XP. After a cd drive problem, i reformatted & reinstalled, now I get a administrator only error & never make it to the scan for updates screen. It gives a "solution" but it doesnt make a difference. Thing is my account is listed as computer administrator so why would this error occur? Only thing i could think of is that maybe i accidentally didnt accept the certificates it wants to install, but i dont remember doing this. Any1 have any ideas, b/c there is a small minority of people who are having this problem. thanks for any help.ht*p://www.proud-x.com/~xpforum/attachment.php?s=&postid=4834K22 please dont post active links do like this...MOD
