Boopa Posted December 13, 2004 Share Posted December 13, 2004 I am runnning XP professional and when trying to click on the Add/remove windows components from the Add and remove programs (control panel) I get the errror"Setup was unable to open the information file tabletpc.infthe specific error code is 0xe0000100 at line 0"I looked everywhere for this error, Google / Microsoft... absolutely nothing found I have been struggling for ages now Tried to run the thing from the CD and the same error happensThanxBoopa (newbie) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
henk2 Posted July 28, 2005 Share Posted July 28, 2005 It's a easy fixed problem, The problem is in the C:\windows\INF\sysoc.inf file. When you open the file sysoc.inf with a writeprog. you must change the rule Signature="$WindowsNT$" in Signature="$Windows NT$" you see that a space is between Windows and NT and that's the problem. first you must unhide the filesystemreading.
