Volume Control Settings in Registry

hi all

i need to know where in the registry i can find the volume control settings in the

registry especially hte option that allow you to control if the speaker icon is shown or not

10 in advance

The rest of the volume settings are hardware dependant I believe.

my laptop automatically sets my volume to 100% my asus built in sound, sets it at 20% the mysteries of life.
