SATA drivers for an existing installation of WinXP

I have currently have WinXP installed on my computer. I want to take my ATA HD, and use the ABIT adapter to hook it up to the SATA connectors on my mobo.

Is there a way to install the SATA drivers without reinstalling Windows?

Hi, if Ure doing it just for a kind of performance "boost", leave your system as it is, U wont get even a % more!! If Ure doing it for another reason- there is an option to include the driver-first leave your HDD pluged in, and on the SATA adapter plug another HDD. Then install the driver for the 2nd HDD. Now, turn off, put your bootHDD on the SATA adapter, and normally XP finds the drivers U've installed previously:) Eventhough I suggest reinstalling:) Bye
