when i try to save pictures on aol i only get the choice of either art or bitmap how can i change it to jpeg ???

well i think your first and biggest problem is that u are using AOL.

Save as bitmap and use third party program to convert file format to jpeg

both of these are very good programs. I lean slightly toward XnView as being easier to use.
