Can't access server from VPN-connected computers

This is a strange issue. I have a Win 2003 Small Business Server machine. My router is a D-Link VPN router so I can get on the network from home using PPTP. If I am on the local network, I can access the server's resources (web, file sharing, etc) but if I am at home connected to the VPN, I cannot. I can, however access all other machines on the network, just not the Windows 2003 server. Is there some kind of access policy that blocks this kind of traffic? I'm truely baffled by this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
