$Docs don't work in XP home after SP2?

Awwww crap - guess what?

The $Docs folder (in $OEM$ hierarchy, after update to SP2) seems to be processed only by XP Pro. I posted here so that others will know this too.

Had me in fits for a long time as to why it wasn't working! is this actually true or is something wrong at my end. If you use XP home, can you please try this yourself, as well and confirm it for the sake of being sure?


I think $Docs still works in unattended install of winxp home ed. with sp2 slipstreamed. I can say it because i still have my rasphone.pbk file in the right place.

Anymore confirmations? 'Coz $Docs still ain't working here.

(I can confirm it for you, that XP pro, with *EXACTLY* all the same modificatios as my XP home is able to process the $docs folder)
