Hi,

I have a small problem with Windows 2000 Pro and Incoming dial-up connections. A client seems to keep dropping out but I can not discover why. I was hoping there would be some way to tell if they were dropping out because of something client or server side.

Is there a logfile for incoming connections in 2K Pro?

If not any suggestions?

Check the security logs on your domain controller(s) to see if there is any indication of the attempt to log on. This is assuming that you have auditing configured.

If not, turn on auditing in your local security policy and then have the user try to log in.

See if there are any errors that appear in the logs.

Thanks for your help tguy.

I was after a log that can see why they were disconnected. That log helped with any problems during connection but not if there is a problem after they were authenticated.
